Sustainability Commission

Establishment

The Sustainability Commission was created in 2008 to examine activities and processes within the City that could be improved to achieve energy conservation, environmental improvement, and sustainability of resources, and to make recommendations to the City Council regarding these matters.

The Commission consists of seven to nine citizen members appointed by the City Council.

Sustainability Plan

Forever Webster Groves is the Sustainability Plan developed by the Sustainability Commission. This plan will light the path to a sustainable future for all who live and work in Webster Groves. Together we can design and implement strategies to maintain and improve a lasting quality of life and ensure a resilient and thriving Webster Groves for present and future generations while retaining and improving our beautiful natural resources and environment. The plan was presented to the City Council in 2022.

Solar Power Hours

The Missouri Botanical Garden and Midwest Renewable Energy Association are providing free, one-hour educational sessions on Grow St. Louis, a bulk solar group purchase program. Homeowners in St. Louis City and County are eligible to apply to the program if you attend a Solar Power Hour. View times and locations
