Business Development & the Business Districts

Business Development Commission

Purpose

The purpose of the Business Development Commission (BDC) is to bring various business-related interests together to foster policies and programs that will create a welcoming, dynamic, and prosperous business community in Webster Groves. 

The Commission is made up of nine members from various city entities including the business districts and Chamber of Commerce. They meet the fourth Thursday of every month at 8:00 am in the City Hall Conference Room. 

Eric Peterson, Assistant City Manager is the Staff Liaison to the Business Development Commission.

Crossroads Special Business District

Functions

The Crossroads Business District Advisory Commission provides an outlet where business owners and operators in the Crossroads business district can collectively enhance and promote their business and retail environment. They advise Council on the uses of district revenues.

Members and Meetings

The seven members of the Commission must own property or operate a business within the district. They meet the third Wednesday of the month at 8:00 am.

The Old Orchard Business District Advisory Commission provides an outlet where business owners in Old Orchard can collectively enhance and promote their business and retail environment. They advise Council on uses of district revenues.
