Grants Awarded
Thanks to a grant from the National League of Cities Institute (NLCI) City Inclusive Entrepreneurship (CIE) Program, we were able to close our Empowering Women in Entrepreneurship Series by awarding 5 microgrants ($1500 each) to support 5 female residents of Webster Groves further develop their businesses.
The City Inclusive Entrepreneurship Network asks city leaders to commit to creating the right policies, programs and practices that drive inclusive, entrepreneurship-led economic growth in their community.
The City of Webster Groves developed the Empowering Women in Entrepreneurship program and held three free webinars on topics pertaining to women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. Women who attended or watched all three webinars and live in Webster Groves were able to apply for a $1500 microgrant to help further their business.
