APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Ms. Bradley, seconded by Ms.
Bakker, to approve the minutes of March 11, 2008.

The March 11, 2008 minutes were approved.
FUNDING PUBLIC ART PRESENTATION
Local artist Catharine Magel gave a presentation
on public art and community based projects.
REVIEW: LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS RECEPTION
The Commission discussed beginning earlier for
next year’s reception and concentrating on more public relations.
Arts Center Task Force
The Stevens family is working with a developer
on the space that the Arts Commission was hoping to use for an Arts Center. The Commission discussed the possibility of looking at the former Jubilee Church on Bompart. Ms. Evans will set up a viewing of the property for interested
members.
Funding Potential Task Force
The Commission discussed inviting Jill McGuire,
Executive Director of the Regional Arts Commission to a future meeting to
discuss funding.

There being no further business to come before the
Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
