APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A
motion was made by Mr. Allen, seconded by Mr. Ahearn, to approve the minutes of
February 10, 2009, as amended.

The February 10, 2009 minutes
were approved as amended.
PROPOSED
ART LOCATIONS WITHIN THE CITY
The
Commission discussed the Artways project within the City, as well as a similar
program conducted in Oregon. The Commission will work on a plan for Webster Groves.
Ms.
Nash asked about the funds for art at the Recreation Complex. The Commission
decided to see if there is a Brother Mel that could be obtained with our
current budget, as well as request funds for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2010.
A
motion was made by Ms. Evans, seconded by Mr. Ahearn to ask the City Council
for $5,000 in the FY 2010 budget for public art.

The
motion was approved.
ARTS
BROCHURE
The
Commission discussed the Arts Brochure, thought artists would be willing to
contribute for a listing. These brochures could be made available at places
like the library or Straub’s. Ms. Bakker, Ms. Bradley, and Mayor Welch will
contribute to get the printing started. Ms. Bradley and Ms. Bakker will meet
to work on layout of the brochure.
LIFETIME
ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS AWARD RECEPTION
Commissioners
will look into possibilities for music for the event. Those contributing
beverages will bring them in on Thursday, and those coming in to help prior to
the meeting will be there at 4 p.m.

Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
