Prior to opening the meeting, the Commission discussed volunteering at the Art & Air Fair.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Ms. Bradley, seconded by Mr. Allen, to approve the minutes of April 14, 2009.

The April 14, 2009 minutes were approved.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS AWARD NOMINEE
The Commission viewed the websites of potential nominees. More discussion will follow.
ARTWAYS PROGRAM
Mr. Allen and Mr. Drissell distributed a new listing of Public Art Site Criteria, updated to include suggestions and ideas from the last meeting.
The Commission discussed next steps for the plan, including meeting with Jill McGuire of the Regional Arts Commission at an upcoming meeting.
PUBLIC ART
Ms. Conrad stated that the Brother Mel piece should be on site soon. Commission members will be notified when it is, so they can advise on placement.
ST. LOUIS ARTISTS' GUILD EXHIBIT
Ms. Conrad stated that the agreement between the City and the Guild is in process. Ms. Bradley stated that the artwork submission deadline is this week.
ARTS BROCHURE
Ms. Bakker is working on revisions to the brochure for possible distribution at Art & Air.
OZARK THEATER
The Commission discussed recent changes to the Ozark Theater, and thinks that Mr. Stevens has good ideas about the direction he is moving in.
