APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Ms. Bradley, seconded by Ms. Bakker, to approve the minutes of January 24, 2011.

NOES: NONE

ABSENT: FERRIGNO, MANN, GREAVES

The January 24, 2011 minutes were approved.

 

CONTINUED PUBLIC ART DISCUSSION

Jim Wolterman, SWT, spoke to the Commission about design possibilities for the triangle area at Kirkham and Gore. Mr. Wolterman outlined the steps of the plan, including a workshop with the group, formal meeting, concept plan and review. The cost of this plan is $4,500. 

 

A motion was made by Ms. Bradley, seconded by Mr. Drissell to hire Jim Wolterman with SWT to do design work for the triangles at a cost of $4,500.

The motion was passed.

 

SANDERS ART EVENT

Ms. Evans stated that Dave Sanders has been talking with various business people interested in art. He is interested in doing an event educating people on public art. He’d also like to do something with local sculptors.  

 

BUDGET – FY 2012

The Commission discussed the Budget for next Fiscal Year.

 

A motion was made by Ms. Greaves, and seconded by Ms. Bradley to ask for $15,000  from the FY 2012 budget to go toward Public Art.
