APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Ms. Bradley, seconded by Ms. Cahoon, to
approve the minutes of August 13, 2012.

The August 13, 2012 minutes were approved.
LIFETIME
ACHIEVEMENT
Ms.
Bradley spoke with Scott Kerr of McCaughen and Burr. He is not moving at this
time, so we will proceed with having the event there. The Commission discussed
ideas for speakers and invitations.
MISSOURI
ARTISTS
The
Commission discussed Sam Spicka, an artist submitted by Mr. Ahearn who is from
Minnesota as well as Snail Scott, an artist submitted by Ms. Evans. She is
local. In addition, the Commission decided to contact Evan Lewis to see if
there is something less climbable than the three pieces initially proposed as
well as visiting Carol Fleming’s studio to see her functional pieces. Ms.
Evans will set up a tour.
CREATIVE
COMMUNITY APPLICATION
Mayor
Welch stated that the application was submitted and showed a copy to the Commission.
UPDATES
Art
on the Town – Art on the Town is October 13. Volunteers are needed. Set up is
8-11 and clean up is 4-6. There will be pop-up concert by the Rootdiggers at 4
p.m.
Awards
of Excellence – Nominations are due September 14. Judging is October 4 at the
Webster University Library.

There being no further business to come
before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
