APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Ms. Bradley, seconded by Mr. Ahearn, to
approve the minutes of June 12, 2014.

NOES: NONE
ABSENT: DRISSELL, FERRIGNO
The June 12 minutes were approved.
NEXT
STEPS: FUTURE PUBLIC ART
The
Commission reviewed artists suggested by Ms. Evans including Michael Jantzen,
Snail Scott, John Medwedeff, Joe Chesla, and Abraham Mohler. The Commission
would like to tour John Medwedeff’s studio. Ms. Evans will contact him and Ms.
Conrad will coordinate a date for the tour. The Commission was also very
interested in works by Michael Jantzen.
LIFETIME
ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
A
motion was made by Ms. Evans, seconded by Ms. Cahoon to nominate Peter Sargent
for the 2014 Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award.

The
reception is tentatively set for October 10, the weekend of Art on the Town.
Ms. Bradley will contact Mr. Sargent regarding his availability.
UPDATES
Chamber
Music Festival
– The festival was well attended and well reviewed.
Parade – Those who can help
should come at 5 p.m. on the 3rd.
The
next meeting is August 4 at 7:30 a.m.
