APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Ms. Bradley seconded by Mr.
Allen, to approve the minutes of September 11, 2007
AYES: ALLEN, BAKKER, BRADLEY, DRISSELL, SARGENT

ABSENT: AHEARN, EVANS, MANN, SHARPE
The September 11, 2007 minutes were approved.
UPDATE ON OLD WEBSTER JAZZ FESTIVAL BOOTH
Members discussed the booth. It was stated that
the Commission should do something similar at next year’s Old Webster Jazz
Festival, as well as look into a booth at the 2008 Art & Air Fair.
WEBSTER 20/20: A VISION FOR THE ARTS
Members discussed session announcements and
signs. Mayor Welch handed out a preliminary work plan. The Commission
discussed what they hoped for as an end result of the session.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS AWARD
NOMINATIONS
The Commission established that they wish to
host the Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award again this year. After
discussion, the proposed nominees are Cliff and Nancy St. James.
UPDATES
Mr. Drissell updated the Commission on the Awards of Excellence. He stated
that ten submissions were received, the judging process is ready to begin, and
the tentative date for the Awards ceremony is November 15.
Mr. Allen
gave a brief update on the Community Arts Foundation.
Ms. Bradley
stated that 63119Art will host their second annual tour November 2, 3, &
4.
