The Public Works Department and Midwest Recycling Center are holding an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, August 6 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Drop off your items at the Moss Field Parking Lot behind Hixson Middle School, 630 S. Elm Ave. Please use the Ambrose Way entrance off S. Elm Avenue.
No charge for acceptable items (working or not):
Computers, Printers, Keyboards, Laptops, Hard Drives, Cell Phones, Pagers, Radios, Scanners, Speakers, VCR, DVD, Fax Machines, Answering Machines, Stereos, Furnaces, Water Heaters, *Air Conditioners, Microwaves, Power Tools, Lawn & Garden (remove gas & oil), *Kitchen Appliances, etc.
Fees will be charged for the following items (cash or check only):
CRT TV 26” and under $30.00 each
CRT TV 27” and larger $50.00 each
Any Console/DLP or Rear Projection Television $50.00 each
Any LED, Plasma, LCD Television $20.00 each
Any CRT monitor (any size) $5.00 each
*Any Freon-containing device will cost $10.00
EXCEPTIONS: No smoke detectors, glass lamps, batteries, PCB-containing devices, chemicals, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, light bulbs, or fluorescent tubes. All lawn and garden equipment must have fuel and oil properly drained before collection.
This event is open to the public. You do not need to be a resident of Webster Groves to recycle your items. This event will be held rain or shine.
Midwest Recycling is registered with the EPA, R2 Nationally Certified, and is Level 4 Certified with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Midwest Recycling has a zero-landfill policy.
