The Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for summer employment. Available positions for ages 16 and older include Pool Cashiers, Day Camp Counselors, Inclusion Assistants, a Safety Camp Assistants, Swim Lesson Instructors, and Recreation Aides (front desk, fitness center, rink, and tennis center). Volunteer opportunities include Counselors-in-Training (ages 13-15) and Safety Camp Counselors (ages 13 and older). Applications may be obtained at The Rec, 33 E. Glendale Rd. The Parks and Horticulture Division has spring and summer employment opportunities as well. Please contact the Park Superintendent at (314) 963-5457 for details regarding seasonal employment. Parks is also looking for individuals or groups of volunteers (Eagle Scout projects, Girl-scout gold awards, Master Gardener, and Master Naturalist service hours,) to assist with projects in the parks. This is an opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna in the parks as well as a chance to help beautify the City.
