Week of September 27 - October 03, 2021
On 09/28/2021 at 12:05 PM found property was reported in the 700 block of Lorraine Davis Ln. A tricycle was located and transported to the Webster Groves Police Department for safe-keeping.
On 09/28/2021 at 12:24 PM a fraud was reported at a business in the 1200 block of S. Elm Ave. The victim reported someone stole a check that had been mailed. The suspect then altered the check and attempted to cash it.
On 09/29/2021 at 5:28 AM a property damage was reported in the 200 block of E. Lockwood Ave. An officer observed a subject standing next to a pile of books that were on fire. The officer contacted the subject who admitted to setting the fire. The fire was extinguished and the suspect was taken into custody. Formal charges are pending.
On 09/30/2021 at 10:02 AM a burglary was reported in the 300 Tulip Dr. The caller stated they observed the subject enter a residence in the 300 block Tulip Dr. The suspect was later located and taken into custody. Formal charges are pending.
On 10/01/2021 at 2:15 PM a property damage was reported at a business in the 7900 block of Big Bend Blvd. An Officer observed several windows to the building had been shattered.
On 10/01/2021 at 11:12 PM a theft was reported in the 200 block of Simmons Ave. The victim reported someone stole both of their license plate tabs off of their vehicle.
On 10/02/2021 at 8:56 AM a theft was reported in the 500 block of Westborough Pl. The victim reported sometime between 09/05/2021 and 10/02/2021 someone stole the catalytic converter off of their vehicle.
On 10/02/2021 at 12:44 PM a fraud was reported in the 8900 block of Big Bend Blvd. The victim reported they were scammed out of $67,000 by someone who told them they had won the lottery.
On 10/02/2021 at 3:00 PM a theft was reported in the 300 block of Start Ct. The victim reported someone entered their vehicle and stole several electronic items.
On 10/03/2021 at 10:44 AM a theft was reported in the first block of Wilshire Terrace. The victim reported sometime between 09/03/2021 and 10/03/2021 someone stole the front license plate off their vehicle and replaced it with another license plate.
During the week of 09-27-2021 through 10-03-2021, the Police Department responded to 465 calls for service, 11 auto accidents, 4 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 28 times.
