Week of October 11 - October 17, 2021
On 10/11/2021 at 5:13 AM a theft was reported at a business in the 8600 block of Big Bend Blvd. The victim reported sometime overnight someone stole the catalytic converter off of their vehicle.
On 10/11/2021 at 6:45 AM a theft was reported in the 1100 block of S. Elm Ave. The victim reported sometime overnight someone forced entry into their vehicle and stole cash.
On 10/13/2021 at 10:16 AM a theft was reported in the 700 block of Catalpa Ave. The victim reported sometime overnight someone entered their vehicle and stole a pocket knife.
On 10/14/2021 at 7:56 AM a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 1600 block of Grant Rd. The victim reported sometime overnight someone stole their vehicle from their driveway.
On 10/15/2021 at 10:27 AM a fraud was reported in the 800 block of Providence Ave. The victim reported on 09/15/2021 they placed a check in a mailbox. On 10/15/2021 the victim discovered that someone stole the check, altered it and then cashed it.
On 10/16/2021 at 3:46 AM a burglary was reported in the 700 block of Eckrich Pl. The victim reported a thin male subject wearing jeans and a dark colored hoodie forced entry into their residence. The suspect saw the victim and fled from the residence.
On 10/16/2021 at 2:49 PM a burglary was reported at a business in the 600 block of Holland Ave. The caller reported someone had forced entry into the building. Items left in the building lead to a possible suspect who was arrested and charged.
During the week of 10-11-2021 through 10-17-2021, the Police Department responded to 452 calls for service, 13 auto accidents, 11 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 41 times.
