Week of December 20 - December 26, 2021

  
On 12/20/2021 at 8:56 AM a fraud was reported in the 300 block of S. Maple Ave.  The victim reported a housekeeper stole their personal checks.  The victim stated the checks were forged and cashed.
 
On 12/21/2021 at 7:22 AM a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 1400 block of Belton Ave.  The victim reported someone stole their vehicle while it was left unattended to warm-up with the engine running in their driveway.
 
On 12/21/2021 at 3:53 PM a shoplifting was reported at a business in the 1200 block of S. Laclede Station Rd.  The reporting party stated a male subject wearing a baseball hat, blue jacket and blue jeans entered the store and stole a cell phone.  The suspect was last seen leaving the area in a black passenger vehicle.
 
On 12/21/2021 at 4:05 PM a fraud was reported in the 100 block of W. Rose Ave.  The victim reported they received a phone call from someone trying to sell them services for their internet.  The victim allowed the suspect access to their computer through an internet site or link.  The victim later discovered someone had made several fraudulent purchases using their credit card.
 
On 12/22/2021 at 7:19 AM a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 400 block of Sunningwell Dr.  The victim reported someone stole their vehicle from their driveway.
 
On 12/24/2021 at 9:59 AM a fraud was reported at a business in the 8600 block of Watson Rd.  The caller reported a female subject attempted to cash two checks using a fraudulent debit card.
 
On 12/24/2021 at 3:37 PM a theft was reported in the 1100 block of Elm Dr.  The victim reported someone stole a package off of their front porch.
 
On 12/25/2021 at 9:32 AM a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of Spencer Rd.  The victim reported someone stole their vehicle from their driveway.  The vehicle was later located and returned to the owner.
  

During the week of 12-20-2021 through 12-26-2021, the Police Department responded to 363 calls for service, 10 auto accidents, 15 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 40 times.
