Distinguished Budget Award
The City of Webster Groves received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Award for its current fiscal budget. This is the 14th year that the City of Webster Groves has received the award.
The award is given to governing bodies and staff that have met the highest principles of governmental budgeting. To receive the wayward, the City of Webster Groves satisfied nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentations. The guidelines assess how well the City’s budget serves as:
- A policy document
- A financial plan
- An operations guide
- A communications device
Budget documents must be rated "proficient" in all four categories, and in the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories, to receive the award.
