On 05/02/2022 at 4:23 PM, a fraud was reported in the 100 block of S. Maple Avenue. The victim reported on 4/29/2022, a check was fraudulently made and cashed in the amount of $2000.00.
On 05/02/2022, at 8:23 PM, a theft was reported in the 600 block of S. Elm Ave. The victim reported their wallet was stolen, possibly by a known individual.
On 05/04/2022 at 3:53 AM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the ten block of W. Waymire Ave. The victim reported their vehicle had been stolen while it was parked in front of their residence.
On 05/05/2022 at 11:18 AM, a fraud was reported in the 500 block of Glen Rd. The victim reported a check they filled out and mailed was later altered and deposited for a different amount.
On 05/05/2022 at 3:10 PM, a person exposing themselves was reported in the 800 block of E. Pacific Ave. It was reported a subject had exposed their genitals while walking down the street.
On 05/06/2022 at 1:37 PM, a fraud was reported in the 400 block of Edgar Rd. The victim reported they were scammed by an unknown person claiming to be an Amazon Representative in the amount of $2500.00. The victim reported the unknown subject claimed the Amazon account had been “flagged” due to stolen gift cards and had to repay the amount before they could return any items.
On 05/07/2022 at 3:09 PM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of Worthing Dr. The victim reported they were selling a motorcycle on Facebook Marketplace. The victim reported a buyer wanted to test drive the motorcycle, but never returned after taking the bike for a test drive.
On 05/08/2022 at 8:13 AM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the ten block of S. Gore Ave. The victim reported their vehicle was stolen sometime overnight.
During the week of 05-02-2022 through 05-08-2022, the Police Department responded to 475 calls for service, 17 auto accidents, 6 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 44 times.
