Week of September 12 - September 18, 2022
On 09/12/2022 at 08:56 AM, stolen/missing license plates were reported in the 700 block of Chamberlain Pl.
On 09/12/2022 at 5:49 PM, a property damage was reported near Plymouth Ave. and E. Lockwood Ave. The reporting party advised they parked their vehicle and later returned to it to discover the rear hatch window shattered.
On 9/13/2022 at 8:12 AM, a property damage was reported in the 30 block of E. Glendale. The reporting party advised they discovered graffiti spray painted on the bathroom walls.
On 09/13/2022 at 4:57 PM, a fraud was reported in the 100 block of S. Gore Ave. The reporting party advised they received emails from a person claiming to be an acquaintance, who requested several gift cards to be purchased. The reporting party advised in the email, they were instructed to send clear pictures of the gift cards. The reporting party later contacted their acquaintance, who stated they never contacted them in email or requested gift cards to be purchased.
On 9/14/2022 at 3:51 PM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 700 block of Chamberlain Pl. The victim stated their parked vehicle was stolen sometime overnight.
On 9/17/2022 at 11:58 AM, a stolen/missing license plate was reported in the 1400 block of S. Elm Ave. The reporting party stated sometime during the past week, the rear license plate was stolen from their vehicle.
On 9/17/2022 at 7:20 PM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 400 block of Oakwood Ave. The reporting party advised their unlocked vehicle was stolen while it was parked for a short amount of time and the key fob was left inside.
On 9/18/2022 at 5:53 PM, a motor vehicle theft was discovered in the 100 block of W. Swon Ave. The reporting party stated they observed a suspicious vehicle stop in front of the residence, when an unknown passenger exited the vehicle and ran towards victim’s parked vehicle. A short time later, both the victim’s vehicle and suspect vehicle fled the area.
During the week of 09-12-2022 through 09-18-2022, the Police Department responded to 469 calls for service, 20 auto accidents, 9 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 44 times.
