Week of November 14 - November 20, 2022
On 11/14/2022 at 6:44 AM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 100 block of E. Rose Ave. The reporting party advised their vehicle was stolen sometime overnight while it was parked unlocked in the street with the keys inside.
On 11/15/2022 at 8:35 PM, an identity theft was reported in the 100 block of W. Rose Ave. The reporting party advised they discovered an unknown person opened a credit card in their name, using their personal information.
On 11/16/2022 at 1:19 PM, a theft was reported in the 3100 S. Brentwood Blvd. An unknown subject consumed food items from the business and left without paying for them. The subject later returned, again, took an item and refused to pay. The subject was located and arrested for the theft.
On 11/16/2022 at 2:46 PM, a burglary was reported in the 7700 block of Big Bend Blvd. The reporting party advised they discovered several items misplaced inside the building. The reporting party advised upon further inspection, they discovered a broken window. A review of the video surveillance recording revealed an unknown subject gained entry during the night time hours, through the broken window.
On 11/16/2022 at 9:08 PM, a package theft was reported from the front porch of a residence in the 400 block of Belleview Ave. A doorbell camera captured the theft.
On 11/18/2022 at 11:08 AM, a motor vehicle theft was reported in the 8700 block of Big Bend Blvd. The reporting party advised their vehicle was stolen while it was parked, unlocked with the keys inside on the street in front of a business. The vehicle was recovered a short time later, after using a GPS tracking application.
During the week of 11-14-2022 through 11-20-2022, the Police Department responded to 343 calls for service, 17 auto accidents, 3 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 54 times.
