Week of March 13 - March 19, 2023
On 03/13/2023 at 11:25 AM, a fraud was reported in the 8200 block of Exchange Way. The reporting party stated an unknown person contacted them by phone and claimed to be an employee who wanted to update their direct deposit information. They advised they received the banking information from the purported “new” employee. Their real employee later contacted them, advising them they had not been paid and had never requested a direct deposit banking change.
On 03/14/2023 at 08:15 AM, a theft was reported in the 8500 block of Watson Rd. The reporting party advised a construction tractor and flatbed trailer was stolen sometime overnight.
On 03/14/2023 at 1:05 PM, a fraud was reported in the 100 block of Pearl Ave. The reporting party advised they received mail, regarding a credit card having been opened in their name. They contacted the creditor and immediately closed the account, after informing them they never opened a line of credit.
On 03/17/2023 at 3:16 PM, a fraud was reported in the unit block of Summit Ave. The reporting party advised they were contacted by a cellular provider, regarding an invoice for an outstanding account. They advised upon further review of the invoices, they discovered an unknown person opened an account and purchased six devices under their business name and never paid the balance.
During the week of 03-13-2023 through 03-19-2023, the Police Department responded to 369 calls for service, 9 auto accidents, 17 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 38 times.
