Old Orchard Gazebo Music Series

Old Orchard Gazebo Music Series

Spend six Friday evenings in the waning days of summer and into the fall at Gazebo Park in the Old Orchard Business District in Webster Groves from 7:00 to 8:30 PM starting on August 20th and running thru September 24th.

The Gazebo Series made its first appearance in 2004 when a group of Old Orchard business owners decided to gather local bands at the gazebo in the park in their business district and share free music with the community on summer evenings. Many of those same business owners along with several new ones continue to organize and put on this event for the enjoyment of the community. With the series going dark last year due to COVID restrictions, this year will mark the 16th year for this favorite community event.

So bring a lawn chair, fill your picnic basket with carryout or delivery from an Old Orchard eatery, and enjoy the sounds of popular local musical favorites. This year’s lineup promises to have something for everyone:

  • August 20th Broken Hipsters
  • August 27th Brother Francis and The Soultones
  • September 3rd Diesel Island
  • September 10th Hobo Cane featuring Javier Mendoza
  • September 17th The People's Key
  • September 24th Jake's Leg

Gazebo Park is located at 8180 Big Bend Boulevard where Lockwood meets Big Bend in Webster Groves, MO. Free parking is available in the various parking lots throughout the business district and on its streets.

Ivory Crockett Park

Changes for Ivory Crockett Park

Ivory Crockett park is scheduled for renovations over the next few years. The park improvements were a priority of the City Council who were instrumental in moving the deadline for renovations forward. Ivory Crockett Park is located in North Webster at 106 Almentor Ave. The park was created in 1971 and was known as Central City Park. In 1994 it was renamed Ivory Crockett Park after Ivory Crockett, a 1968 graduate of Webster Groves High School who broke a world record when he ran the 100-yard dash in 9 seconds claiming the title, “The world's fastest human.”

Ivory Crockett Park basketball and tennis courts, playground, pavilions, parking lots, and walking paths need renovation. This community survey was designed to gain feedback from those who use the park regularly and have an idea of what additions and renovations would be most appreciated by the community.

If you would like to share feedback on the park, please fill out this survey.
