The City of Webster Groves is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. As a city, we strive to promote these ideals in how we serve the community. With this commitment, we also recognize that creating a place for all requires constant focus and attention. To assist the City in our continued growth, we have partnered with Hicks-Carter-Hicks, a consulting firm specializing in diversity, equity, and inclusion. For over 20 years, they have provided similar services to other organizations in the St. Louis area and around the country.
One of the critical steps in this journey is to understand better how the community perceives the City related to its efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Hicks-Carter Hicks will use the information gathered to create a detailed report highlighting the city’s strengths, areas for development, and challenges. Additionally, Hicks-Carter-Hicks will provide recommendations based on best practices, research in the field, and years of experience. These recommendations are designed to provide a roadmap to support the City in continuing to promote these important ideals in our community.
It is important to emphasize that this process is a journey. Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion cannot be accomplished in a single project, instead, it requires continuous assessment and vigilance. To ensure continued success, we seek to take a holistic approach to this work to produce a long-term positive impact.
